Fahrney Keedy’s NEW Gift Shop has Been Given a Facelift
Gift Shop Opening February 1, 2022
Boonsboro, January 19, 2022—Fahrney Keedy’s Gift Shop has moved to a new location! Within the main building, you’ll find our new shop. It is bigger, brighter and has new merchandise to offer to residents, staff, visitors, and guests alike.
The gift shop, which previously was operated by the Fahrney Keedy Auxiliary, will be open Monday through Friday, 12:30pm to 3:30pm. As demand increases, the hours will also increase. Our shop is currently operated by volunteers and staff. In addition, we not only take cash and check but beginning in March 2022, we will be able to process credit cards safely and securely.
What’s even more exciting, an online store is being created on the Fahrney Keedy website, www.fkhv.org. Those that are not able to come into the building or giftshop can make purchases using their credit cards online through secure processing. Staff will pull the items requested for their loved ones. Our activities department will then deliver the goodie bag to your favorite resident. Stay tuned for the launch!
Julia McGlaughlin, Executive Director, had this to say: “Fahrney Keedy’s new and improved, one stop gift shop now offers a new, enhanced location right at our entrance. We will be offering the usual merchandise, such as drinks, snacks, cards, and balloons along with new products that offer something special for our residents, staff, and visitors. One new special product I am excited about is called a “Warmie.” The Warmie is a stuffed animal, scented with lavender, with pockets to keep you or your loved one’s hands warm. Please stop by our grand opening on February 1st, purchase a fresh brewed cup of coffee and see for yourself the growth that is happening at Fahrney Keedy.”
Be sure to stop by the gift shop when visiting Fahrney Keedy located at 8507 Mapleville Road in Boonsboro, Maryland. As you come into the front of the building, enter through the two sets of sliding glass doors. Once you are in the lobby, the gift shop is located on the right. Stop by and check out the new products! We look forward to seeing you.
