Phone System

April 13, 2022

Dear Families,

We are experiencing intermittent outages with our facility wide phone system.  Unfortunately, this issue is not related to anything on premises.  Due to aging infrastructure within the phone lines off site, there appears to be a junction that is due to be decommissioned that is affecting our phone system.  We have been working diligently with our telecommunications provider (Windstream), Verizon (owner of the lines) and the third-party repair company.  Due to the ongoing issues, we are having with this repair we have also reported it to the FCC for follow-up.

While we are resolving this issue, we have put in place cell phones on each nursing unit, as well as ordered lines through our cable company for each nursing unit which will be operational by close of business on 4/14/2022.  Additionally, please contact Shannon Kelbaugh, our activity director to schedule face time visits with your loved ones during the next couple of weeks until we have a permanent solution in place.

We are working with our cable provider to establish a permanent solution through our fiber network which should be in place in the next 2 weeks.  Updates will be posted to our website as well as in writing.

We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing as we know that active connection with your loved one is paramount.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Stephen Coetzee, LNHA
